Philips Singapore extended an exclusive invitation to F1GPSG.com's Kaylen Wan for a tour into the AT&T Williams Motorhome at the Singapore Grand Prix 2009.
Friday afternoon - before the start of practice session 1, I met Pamela who would be leading us into the Williams' Motorhome. We headed into the paddock area feeling all exclusive. Over there we met Patrick Overwijk, who is the Global Sponsorship Manager, Philips Consumer Lifestyle. We were brought about the motorhome to show us the various Philips appliances that made the Motorhome a comfortable and stylish one.

The entertainment zone in the Williams' Motorhome - the Philips TV PFL9664 with ambilight that provides a soothing ambience to match the images on the TV for an immersive viewing experience. Right below the TV set there is the Philips HTS8160B Soundbar - excellent for iPod/iPhone docking for playback and charging.

Don't underestimate this little gadget - it's the Philips goLITE BLU which is an important device to have especially for the Singapore Grand Prix when the drivers will be operating on European timezone as it is a night race. The Philips goLITE BLU helps uses blue light therapy to simulate dawn breaking with the gentle brightening of the blue light as and when you set the alarm to be. Great for a substitute as an alarm clock especially for those of us who like to wake up at later hours without having to bear the insufferable glares of the harsh sunlight outside.

(Left) Into the drivers' personal zone. The waterbottles, caps and magazines are on top of the massage where Nick Harris, the team's exercise physiologist would unknot the kinks in the drivers' muscles.
(Right) You could see the racing suits to the right of the picture, and in front of it the Philips Infracare HP3641, which uses infrared light to soothe the aches in muscles and joints - fantastic for the Williams' drivers whose bodies are under the mercy of high G-force each time they go onto the track in their Williams FW31.

A tour into the Williams' garage! Sorry, no pictures within the garage itself. But walking right past the cars and smelling the machineries and fuel? That, my friend, is guaranteed to make you fly higher than a nitrogen-filled balloon. On the right, Nick Hayes, AT&T Williams’ Philips Account Manager, who brought us around the garage.

The various Philips products that are in the motorhome to help the Williams drivers - Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima, maintain a healthy diet and stay in top shape for the tough demands of a race.

Philips, with the wide range of health and entertainment appliances, truly help AT&T Williams build a home away from home , which is extremely important to the drivers and crew of the Williams' team as they need to be in tip top condition at all times.
Many thanks to Philips Singapore for granting this great opportunity to allow the fans to see what goes on behind the AT&T Williams' Motorhome!
